Rajasthan Exploreable Sites
Jaipur
Arriving late at night in Jaipur, we set out on our journey the following wonderful morning. Instead of ordering a full-day taxi from a hotel in Jaipur, which costs about 3000 INR, we toured the city just using Ola Auto, which is very reasonably priced, and you can always get an app-based taxi anytime in Jaipur. It took barely half an hour, so we first headed to Amer Fort, which is almost 13km from the central city. The fort was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013, and it is on a hilltop. Hence, you may either ride an elephant back, walk upwards, use a jeep or golf cart, or own an automobile. We would have instead gone on a walk, however.
Jaipur
The next day, we investigated the well-known “Pink City” for its signature building hue. Since all the main famous sites in Jaipur are within walking distance, you may wander around the point of interest. Once the lights are on, never miss the opportunity to see a new view of Hawa Mahal at night.
Chittorgarh
We arrived at Chanderiya from Jaipur relatively early the next day via rail. Only 8kms separate Chanderiya and Chittaurgarh, the stations. You may use any train going between Jaipur and Chanderiya/Chittaurgarh. There is no pricing chart, so you may obtain a vehicle to reach your accommodation from the station. Be sure to haggle before boarding. You may also ask them to drive you to Chittaurgarh Fort for the whole day. Any automobile taken from a hotel will be more costly. We, therefore, ask the car driver to wait only one hour, and after lunch, we will be ready in one hour.
We began building the Chittaurgarh Fort at noon, and a half-day journey was enough to explore the fort. If you have limited time on your schedule, better yet, avoid walking, as there are many areas in this fort that you cannot visit without transportation due to the distance. One has to give the local guide some thought; otherwise, one misses the background of the renowned Chittaurgarh fort. We were fortunate enough to have a driver who answered the call to duty without delay.
Udaipur
It is now time to depart Chittaurgh and go for Udaipur, City of Lake. We chose to spend the whole day in Udaipur. Hence, we left Chittaurgarh early in the morning by automobile, and it took three hours to go to Udaipur, barely 125km away. Clearly, the hotels in front of Lake Pichola provide the most amazing views. After arriving, we chose to see the well-known City Palace; the central city is simply walking distance away. The boat trip ticket can also be obtained at the booking desk. Discover the various facets of the lovely palace and Lake Pichola. See the lovely Jagmandir Temple on your boat journey; then, rest in the heart of the island with a cup of tea. Boat rides at the late afternoon sunset period are fantastic. However, this time, the ticket is very costly.
